Lazaro Amaral was born in Havana, Cuba in 1962. At age 3 he fled to America with his family in search of a better life. In 1988 he graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York.
He soon excelled his artistry as a story board artist for the Miami Herald , Sony camcorders, Casio watches and the foot-long Blimpie submarine sandwich. His credentials span from story board to set design for M.T.V. Latino, cartoon channel Nickelodeon and was also the creative artist of Tower Records.
LazaroAmaral Art presents a vibrant span. His work has been described as 'action panting' , continual use of potent colours, hidden images, layering and a projection of motion or life to each piece. His work has been likened to Abstract Expressionism calling to the common place item, 1960's Pop icons and commenting socially often with a comedic tone portrayed through skillful prints.
